Thanks to LUKMEF ,for Giving AWEC an opportunity to participate in a 2 day workshop on Life-saving GBV and Sexual Reproductive Health intervention for Internally Displaced Persons(IDPs)in the Northwest and South West Region .This workshop goal is to increase community mobilizers and engagement in GBV prevention and response in the areas affected by the socio political crisis.

Objective is to strengthen the capacity of 30 community mobilizers/focal person on key concepts related to GBV ,causes and effects of GBV,and therefore brainstorming on the operating procedures of preventing GBV within the communities ,these prevention measures include ;psychological first aid to survivors,safe referral services available for survivors like the minimum package services which can help create a safe environment which will make survivors feel safe .The training will also train focal persons to create awareness on the rights of women and girls and also breaking the silence . the training also equip participant with in depth knowledge on Sexual Reproductive health rights ,which focal person can crate awareness and sensitizing the community on the methods importance of  sexual education that is Sexual reproductive health rights,,family planning,parental care.
